With ambitious growth plans, this is an exciting time to join SYSTRA Ltd as we continue to develop and raise our profile in the UK with the hire of an experienced Project Manager. The successful candidate will manage diverse projects on behalf of Systra Consultancy focussed on transport infrastructure design projects across public and private sector clients.

 

Main Duties:

 

  • Provision of a professional, first class, consistent and effective project management service to Clients.
  • To actively liaise and engage with project team members to provide appropriate support to projects and bids.
  • Undertake a contract review prior to project start up.
  • Lead and direct a multi-disciplinary project team providing necessary support as required.
  • Responsible for delivering the projects safely to agreed time, cost and quality and in accordance with the Project Governance Process and Integrated Management System (IMS) and all other relevant systems and processes.
  • Ensure that projects comply fully with all statutory and regulatory provisions including all health, safety, environment and CDM Regulations.
  • Proactively review, identify and resolve any problems in project delivery, including anticipated problems as well as over-spend and late delivery.
  • Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Provide project reports as required in line with Project Governance, Client and Business requirements.
  • To secure repeat business through proactive client management.
  • To secure work by leading, managing and co-ordinating bids when acting as Bid Manager, in accordance with Project Governance and IMS Procedures.

 

Knowledge & Skills:

 

  • Significant design consultancy or infrastructure design industry related project management experience and proven success in the management of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Relevant experience managing multiple, major and /or complex high-risk project(s).
  • Membership of The Association for Project Management and/or membership of a relevant professional institution and/or relevant demonstrable experience.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Solid communication skills within and across disciplines to drive project team delivery within the company.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and work well under pressure.
  • Environmental and sustainability knowledge.
  • Proficient use of software programs, including Microsoft Office, Sharepoint and Projectwise.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Capable of recognising and actively developing opportunities and provides value for money.
