As SYSTRA continues to thrive and grow in the UK & Ireland we are keen to hire an Ethics Officer to bolster our commitment to ethics and compliance across the group. The Ethics officer will work closely with various stakeholders across our UK & Ireland business as we continue to deliver on exciting high-profile infrastructure projects. This role could be based from any of our UK offices, our key hubs being York, Manchester or Birmingham, with the opportunity for flexible working on an ongoing basis.

 

The role will focus on raising awareness across SYSTRA Ltd concerning Ethical Risks and Compliance, working closely with the global group strategic plans and standards for Ethics.

 

Main Duties

  • Support GDPR compliance in the UKIRL Region
  • Provide support to enable the UKIRL Region effectively deliver “Conflict of Interest” (COI) compliance
  • Drive integrity and compliance with Bribery, Corruption, Fraud and Coercive Practice law in our UKIRL Region activities. Including best practice in the prevention of fraud, protection of SYSTRA rights including Copyright, Patents and Intellectual Property and Risk Management
  • Support a training programme to deliver Ethics and Compliance competence across the UKIRL Region
  • Promote the Business partner process within the UKIRL Region including Business Partner Due Diligence process
  • Revise policies, procedures, instructions and guidance
  • Support UKIRL Region approved Business Partners are registered at GROUP Level where required

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Significant ethics & compliance experience from a complex organisation
  • Relevant educational background or subsequent training and qualifications
  • Experience gained in project execution desirable
  • Experience in having to meet standard/legal/regulatory requirements
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of Directors
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
