SYSTRA are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as Crossrail and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

 

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham and York/Leeds offices, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by a Graduate Engineer to support the production and delivery of design.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

Working in collaboration with our designers and contract partners, the Graduate Engineer will be involved in a variety of tasks such as:

  • Undertake design analysis and calculations and assist with technical delivery of Highway projects
  • Support sustainable and efficient design solutions to client requirements.
  • Support in the preparations of design information and models for BIM submissions.
  • Support the production of reports project layouts, sketches, cross-sections and details using AutoCAD, collation and integrated design solutions
  • Aid the production of design proposals that resolve client challenges
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and in accordance with the appropriate standards
  • Implementation of CDM and design requirements
  • Site visits and surveys, inspections and data collection
  • Assist with feasibility studies, inspections, assessments and other written documents, ensuring compliance with Systra procedures
  • Plan and manage your work to meet project needs
  • Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment
  • An important part of the role will include working with the resources across the project – from local resources to others based at other design Technical Centers.
