Working within the dynamic ICT department, the UK and IR Business are in the process of starting a major transformational project and we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst. This position within our ICT team will suit a committed and ambitious individual who can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills combined with excellent technical, analytical knowledge and the ability to play their part in growing a dynamic high-performance team.


The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be part of a team accountable for the design delivery and ongoing development and support of the UK and Ireland business systems


Main Duties


  • Reporting to the UK/IR Business Systems Manager, you will work with key business subject matter experts (SMEs) analysing and gathering business requirements, produce business requirements documentation including process flows
  • Gain Team Leader and/or SME sign off to the business requirements and process flows
  • Map ‘To Be’/future state processes, develop a traceability matrix
  • Ensure Design continues to meet business needs and ensure all change requests are fully impact assessed within relevant Finance teams
  • Perform or support training needs analysis, design and deliver training materials and develop a training plan
  • Create functional test scenarios and test scripts, support UAT.
  • Develop test plan to track progress against project plan and highlight any resource/ time issues
  • Ensure testing risks and issues represented at meetings are escalated appropriately
  • Work closely with business SMEs ensuring that the delivered system solution meets business requirements
  • Report and address process issues, report potential change requests and deliver impact assessments as required
  • Manage governance – ensure that all allocated activities and documentation adhere to project governance quality requirements and are submitted by the communicated deadlines
  • Adherence to project values, policies, processes and system architecture to deliver to scope on time and to budget.
  • Resource management within the project, administration and budget/cost management will also be required.



Essential Experience


  • This role requires considerable professional experience of IFS enterprise resource planning software.
  • This may include policy development and management of specific internal change tasks and projects
  • Extensive experience working with ERP systems, ideally their implementation and development
  • Ensuring good relationships are maintained with all external parties to enhance the reputation of the company
  • Excellent ability to deliver in a pressurised environment.
  • Successful development, delivery and management of strategic and tactical business policies, plans, processes and business systems.
  • Sound understanding of finance, procure to pay, CRM, HRM and project accounting end-to-end process and system integration.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relationships at all levels.
  • Delivered large scale transformational change in SME organisations.
  • Experience of the IFS cloud-based ERP solution (desirable).
