We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Software Asset Manager to join the ICT team for SYSTRA Ltd in either our York or Woking offices with significant flexibility to work remotely.

 

The ideal candidate will be used to managing large software contracts and have strong project management skills. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient management of software across the UK and Ireland business.

 

Main Duties

  • Ensuring that software is deployed efficiently across the business meeting project requirements.
  • Reducing licence costs by negotiating volume discounts and reducing licence redundancy.
  • Streamlining the software and tools used for software asset management.
  • Producing policies and governance regarding licence procurement, deployment, documentation, and decommissioning.
  • Liaising with SYSTRA Group regarding the usage of global licences.
  • Always Ensuring vendor and legal/regulatory compliance.
  • Financial budgeting and reporting on actual vs budget spend on a regular basis.
  • Liaise with vendors over SAM audits.

 

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of Software Asset Management and ideally previous experience working as an IT Software Asset Manager
  • Proven track record in managing staff
  • Knowledge of Software Asset Management tools
  • Strong knowledge of licensing agreements involving large-scale software such as Microsoft, Bentley, Autodesk, Oracle and other relevant Engineering-specific software
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes
  • Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision
  • Working knowledge of CAD/Engineering or Transport Planning software beneficial.
  • Excellent at performing multiple tasks concurrently
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required
